About
BeerTrips.com!
BeerTrips.com was founded in 1998 to offer serious beer people
the opportunity to travel to the world's best beer destinations
with other people who love great beer. Beer and travel, travel and
beer -- these are two of our favorite things. Both, in our estimation,
are worth a fair amount of life's energy.
Our goal, and our very reason for existing, is to take our travelers
the best beer destinations, drink, taste and enjoy the best beers,
meet the beer-loving people of the countries we visit, and explore
the history, culture, art and architecture of the interesting places
where beer "grew up". To do this we stay in nice, well-located
hotels, eat at great restaurants that emphasize beer in their fare,
and visit breweries, brew pubs, cafes, and museums that enhance
our understanding and appreciation of BEER and its rich history
and culture. It's just that simple.
History
Although we are a young company with a promising future, our experience
in beer and travel are extensive. We select the best, most interesting
breweries, beer cities, restaurants, pubs, and cafes upon which
to build our trips. Often, we are treated to behind the scenes visits.
Mike Saxton, founder and President of Beer Trips.com brings 15 years
of travel industry experience. Having designed and led group trips
all over the world (Kenya, New Zealand, Costa Rica, France, US)
for almost ten years, Mike builds trips that represent the best
that travel has to offer.
Looking Forward
BeerTrips.com will become the ultimate source for Beer Travel.
Unique group trips, brewing industry events, beer festivals and
packages for independent travel will be available in the years to
come. As long as there is great beer to enjoy, we will continue
enjoy Beer Trips of all sorts.

About Life on a Beer Trip:
Most trips begin at the hotel in the city where the trip begins, assistance
and advice on getting there is provided. (Meeting a group in the airport
is just no fun).
We stay in nice hotels in great locations.
Breakfast is included daily.
3 or 4 Lunches and 3 or 4 Dinners WITH BEER are also included... usually
in brewery taps or beer cuisine restaurants.
A couple days we get up early to go somewhere worthwhile...
We hire a private coach or ride fast trains to travel between cities --
often we are a traveling tasting room, sampling local flavors of all sorts.
There's a lot of beer available... several brewery visits and special
tastings, as well as beer meals and "pub crawls" -- at your discretion
of course.
Most trips include guided walking tours of each city we visit.
Most trips have unscheduled free days to explore on your own.
The People on Beer Trips range in age from 23 to 77 (so far). Generally
there are more men than women, but not always. Sometimes we have beer experts
and brewers along, sometimes home brewers, sometimes people who simply want
to visit Europe and drink beer with good people!
